It's the most wonderful time of the year!

I am so excited that we get to come home for Christmas! Only 8 more days!!!
But until then here is a little of the Christmas fun that we have had.

We went and got our Christmas tree. We actually did it before Thanksgiving because I will have to take it down this week before we go home!

We completed our annual tradition of putting the tree IN the car rather than ON the car.
This all started the Christmas before last when we got our first Christmas tree. I was terrified that if we tied it to the roof of the car we would lose it on Airport Blvd so I begged my man to just put it in the car and stick it out the window. Like the wonderful hubs he is he did! And it has since become our little tradition, that gets us funny looks by any and all that are around.

Here are a few flash back photos:

Our First Christmas Tree

On our second Christmas tree we decided to go Charley Brown! It was so tiny!!!

Any who, back to the the present!
Here are some fun projects I have done the Christmas Season.

Home Made Ornaments:

If you can't tell the one above is the key to our first apartment with the address written out to the side.
What a fun memory, right!?

And this one is little Miss Sadie Anne's paw print. Her birthday is the Christmas so on the back I wrote her age, 1 year old!

So if you want to make your own it is pretty easy!
-Mix 2 parts flour with 1 part salt with water until it is the consistency of play dough.
- Mold your dough.
-Bake on 250 degrees for 2 hours.
Once it is cool you can paint it and write on it.
PS: if you plan to make an ornament make sure you make a hole in the dough to lace your ribbon through.

My other holiday project was a new wreath!
I need to learn how to tie a prettier bow!

But my favorite of all Christmas decorations is the Tree!!!

And I was even able to talk my hubs and our baby girl into taking a few pictures!

Merry Christmas from our family to yours!
Love, Mr. & Mrs. A

America

This post is a little late, but I wanted to share how honored I felt to be a part of a prayer vigil in front of the White House on Election Day 2012.

We prayed for and continue to pray for God to raise up righteous leaders in America and for unity in the church.

Here is a  video of us worshiping in front of the White House.

Apple Picking at Graves Mountain

I am so excited to actually have a Fall this year! Where the leaves actually change colors!!!
In honor of our first real Autumn we decided to go to Graves Mountain with a couple of friends from FPF to pick apples and enjoy the scenery.

Sadly, the orchard had been picked over because we went the last day of the apple festival... Maybe next year we will go a little earlier and pick fresh apples to bake into yummy goodies.
But despite not finding any apples we had a great time!

Welcome to Graves Mountain.

GORGEOUS!

The Apple Orchard.

Apple Picking!

We saw a few creatures here and there...

I was told that with this kind of caterpillar the larger the brown spot the harder the winter! YIKES!

This is the largest pig I have ever seen. EVER! You can't tell in this picture but it was the size of a small bear!

And there were funnel cakes and kettle corn. Yum!

Graves Mountain was decorated with all of these hay bales! How fun. Can you believe the color of those trees? Ah-MAZING!

My Sweet Hubby and Me!
And how Fantastic is this hay bear?!
